National Geographic provides free maps, photos, videos and daily news stories, as well as articles and features about animals, the environment, cultures, history, world music and travel.

This is a site that as a kid we explored the great amazon, watched as gorillas lived free, and learned about natives from other worlds. This is the only site that everyone can say “I remember” and give great momories of our youth. We watched the public broadcasting station (PBS) with National Geographics as the center of its line up. We read the kids magazines and as we got older read the larger magazines. We even wait in any doctors office and half the time grab the National Geographics magazine no matter the release date. The site is exactly what you would expect from a magazine with such a long tradition. The ads are well placed and as all will know the content is KING.

Well i think i said it best in the top part as to why i wrote about this site. I loved it as a kid and still enjoy it today. I wanted those people who still read it to check out the online version as well since in this day and age we are a internet bound society. And as you can tell this is one of the best to bring back memories, and enjoy where we can not go but as kids say someday i will check this out.
