I Want Everyone To Meet The Gnu
Snapshot Taken From Free Software foundation
Site Overview
Everyone Meet the Gnu, Gnu Meet everyone. The Free Software Foundation (FSF) is a 501(c)3 donor supported charity founded in 1985 and based in Boston, MA, USA. The FSF has a worldwide mission to promote computer user freedom and to defend the rights of all free software users. That is from the site and pretty much sums up exactly what this site is all about. Check below for a better understanding and why i am writing about this.
My Thoughts
So if you have read many of our sites you will see we believe in a free foundation for our expression. Alltopicsblog.com, topsiteoftheday.com and topsitemedia.com are all powered by free software under the “gnu” license to help us and many of our writers express our feelings and beliefs. This site is powered by wordpress because its a perfect medium for what we are looking for. Now what does free software mean: Free software is software that gives you the user the freedom to share, study and modify it. We call this free software because the user is free. And we feel that most free software out there is there for us to hack, tweak and use to our own ways. This site is powered by many tweaks and hacks that we wanted and “gnu” gives us the freedom to do that without the cost that comes from it. So the next time you visit a site like techcrunch, or and of the other big sites 10 to 1 they are using “gnu” for their powerhouse as well.
