A Top Airplane Seat Guide

Site Overview

In October 2001, frequent flyer Matthew Daimler launched SeatGuru.com with a single color-coded interactive airplane seating chart. Having experienced firsthand the vast differences between airline seats, he was determined to collect this useful information and share it with other travelers. Over ten million visitors later, SeatGuru has enjoyed incredible success and has expanded to include more than 300 airplane seatmaps from more than 45 different airlines.

In 2007, SeatGuru was purchased by TripAdvisor.com. Sharing the common goal of finding the truth from real travelers, SeatGuru and TripAdvisor work together to bring you the most up-to-date information about travel.

My Thoughts

As a 6′3″ tall man, I have trouble finding a comfortable seat on an airplane. After finding seatguru.com, I am now able to at least know which seats I should suggest when booking my flight. Having recently booked a multi-leg vacation from Dallas to Washington D.C., then from D.C. to Cozumel, MX, and then from Cancun, MX to Austin, TX and then back to Midland, TX I was able to take advantage of this site. If you are an avid traveler this is a must visit before you book your next flight.

A Top Sports Extreme Site

Site Overview

EXPN.com is a parter of the GO.com group which includes ABC, Disney, ESPN, as well as many more. EXPN is a spin off site of ESPN but instead of covering the world’s most basic sports they keep up with the extreme sports. There is plenty to do on this site from videos and pictures to being able to check out your favorite snowboarder’s bio or calendar or find out where the next moto cross event is at. If you are in to extreme sports then this is definitely the site for you.

My Thoughts

As a snowboarder and wanna be rock climber, I absolutely love this site. It allows me to see what the pros are doing during events as well as what they are doing between events. I am usually on the snow side of EXPN.com but I know that they cover all avenues of extreme sports. If you are into sky diving, skiing, wakeboarding, snowboarding, surfing, luge or curling (wait not curling) then you need to check this site out.
