About The Site

Pickaprof.com is a perfect answer to one of the most commonly asked questions  among college students registering for classes, “Which teachers and courses should I take?”  Well, this site breaks down every professor at every major university and even some of the smaller ones.  Pickaprof.com allows you to see the average grade the teacher gives, the percent of past students that passed or failed. It breaks it down even further into how many people received A, B, C, D, and etc.  You are able to read past students’ reviews of the teacher how they rated him or her.  When reviewing, you are asked to comment on the teacher in general and then give pros and cons about the teacher.  Pickaprof.com not only allows you to search by teachers but also by course numbers.  This allows you to compare all the teachers that teach a specific course.  From there, you can make an educated decision on which teacher would benefit you the most.  Other main features of this site are a book exchange and a “My Schedule.”  In all, this site has much to offer the college student.

The Site’s Design

Pickaprof.com is very nicely laid out across the board. Not only is the main site nice and clean, your profile page is just as nice and just a easy to navigate. You will be pleased with this layout, however, if you have made it to this site, your not caring to much about the look of the site as you are about the information that it has to provide.

My Thoughts

Pickaprof.com (and with the help of my wife) got me through college with a decent GPA.  It is always a great plus when you can know what to expect from a teacher before you even step in the door.  By far, my favorite part to this site is the fact that it breaks down each teacher and gives you their average grade given for each class they teach.  But I also love knowing that there will only by 3 tests all semester and that the teacher doesn’t take attendance.  The only thing negative thing I see about this site is that it costs.  Not much, only 10 bucks a year or 35 for 4 years.  I told my parents it was an “educational tool,” so they took care of the costs.  Whatever you are wanting to know about a course or teacher, you can find it here.
