About The Site

Zillow.com now offers any real estate service you can ask for. However, where it all started and I believe is still the main feature of this website is Zestimate. Zestimate allows you to search for any house in the United States and see the Value of the house. They created this site for each home and then filled it with data, maps and layered it with publicly available information such as comparables and tax information. But they didn’t stop at Zestimate. They then made a section available for owners and their agents to edit and add information, create their own estimates, upload photos, and post homes for sale. Shortly after, they introduced a unique concept in selling your house with a feature called Make Me Move™, in which homeowners can set a crazy high price on their home and wait…. because you never know someday someone could offer you an amount you can’t refuse.

The Site’s Design

As you can probably tell, this site does not let me down in way of content nor does it let me down in way of site design. This site allows for decent navigation throughout. It also contains eye candy which is always a nice plus. In all, this is one of the best all around put together sites out there. They did have some help though, the same two people who started expedia.com started this revolutionary website.

My Thoughts

Zillow.com is by far the best website that I have come across in a long while. It was kind of nice to see such great ideas being put to a good use in such a awesome website. I actually recently used this website in the purchase of my house in early July. I obviously checked out the zestimate of all the houses we looked at as well as of the whole neighborhood, to make sure people where not asking to much for their houses in way of price. As you can probably tell by now I love this site and I’m not even big in to real estate.
